This Privacy Notice explains how Alibaba Cloud (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Alibaba Cloud”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use the Alibaba Cloud Intelligenza app experience (“Experience”).

If you are in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or Italy, this notice is provided under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and applicable Italian privacy rules.

Depending on what you choose to provide, we may collect:

  • Email address (optional; required only if you choose to opt in to communications and updates)

You can use the Experience without providing your name, email, or company name.

3) Why we use your data

  1. Personalise your Experience (Name)
    If you provide your name, we use it to personalise parts of the Experience (for example, greeting you by name).

  2. Communications and updates from Alibaba Cloud (Email) — only if you opt in.
    If you provide your email and tick the checkbox that says:
    “I agree to receive communications and updates from Alibaba Cloud. I can unsubscribe at any time.”

    we will use your email address to send you communications and updates from Alibaba Cloud (such as news about Alibaba Cloud, product and service updates, invitations to events, and related announcements).

    You can unsubscribe at any time (see Section 8).

  3. Operate, secure, and improve the Experience (Technical/usage data)
    We use technical and usage data to operate the Experience, maintain security, prevent misuse, and improve performance and reliability.

4) Legal basis (EEA/Italy)

If you are in the EEA/Italy, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Personalisation (Name): our legitimate interests in providing a more engaging user experience (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Communications and updates (Email): your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Operations/security/analytics: our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Experience (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and where required, your consent for specific technologies.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests (see Section 8).

10) Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, such as access controls and security monitoring. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

11) Children

This Experience is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12) Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the Experience.
